Research

The More than Five project starts with students presenting the reasons why we should include more fruit and vegetables in the diet. They will look at different ways in which fruit and vegetables can be included in a variety of recipes and understand how to produce dishes hygienically and safely in the kitchen area at school.

Design

Design ideas will be created for a range of dishes containing fruit or vegetables, which are healthy and nutritious. They will have to write recipes for their dishes containing fruit and vegetables.

Make

The practical making of dishes included fruit crumble, fruit smoothies, fruit salad, pasta salad, pizza, fruit cakes and quesadillas. Students will be assessed by their demonstration of their knowledge and practical making skills.
