Miam Miam!

Feeling peckish? In this topic you’ll be learning how to talk about food. You’ll give opinions about different types of food and drink (nouns) and give longer (cleverer) reasons why, such as ‘it’s good for your health’. We’ll use the present tense to describe how often you eat/drink them and describe the meals you eat and don’t eat. We’ll explore French food too and compare it to what we eat in Wales.

Mon Temps Libre

This topic is your chance to say what you think! You’ll be learning how to give opinions on things (nouns) and use describing words (adjectives) to explain why. To make your sentences sound clever, you’ll learn ‘show-off’ phrases such as ‘in my opinion’. You’ll then start to give opinions on activities (verbs) too.

Ma Famille

You’ll learn how to describe who is in your family, their names and their ages (up to 100). Then we’ll describe personalities and appearance. Everything you’ve already learned will be built on in this topic and you’ll also start to explore French culture with songs and books.

Mon Temps Libre

In this topic you’ll learn how to greet one another and introduce yourselves. You’ll also learn the alphabet and how to use French phonics to read new words (once you know them, French phonics are A LOT easier than English ones and you’ll be able to read aloud almost any word in French). Finally, you’ll practise talking about ages and where you live, as well as describing these things for other people.
