Wall Plaque

Research/Analysis

They research the students will start on will be to understand how Product Designers work with clients in the initial stages of a design project. They also have to understand the advantages and disadvantages of primary and secondary research. They will be required to understand how to write an effective design brief. And also understand how to write an effective user profile.

Design

Part of the design process is to know the importance of using CAD and to be able to manipulate basic shapes, compound shapes the use of negative space using the various software used within this project. Through this learning they will be then able to make more complex shapes using the group, duplicate, mirror and align tools.

Make

Making of Wall Plaque
Learn how how to cut and smooth sheet MDF correctly and safely. Create the mold for the plastic forming machine, and then complete the final wall plaque by smoothing edges using the resources available in the workshop.
