Outrageous Owl Project

Research

This project will start by analysing the product provided and write about that product using the ACCESSFM framework. Students will then learn and understand the implications that textiles have on the environment.

Design

As part of the design process students will collect a range of recycled materials for the project as well as images to use for design ideas. They will then create a range of original design ideas for this project before creating the final idea which needs to be annotated and then coloured and completed using a fine liner pen.

Make

Practical making of the product.

The final product will then be make with all parts to be cut out prior to the construction of the owl cushion.  The skills the students will demonstrate their knowledge and practical making skills. Sewing machine and hand embroidery skills are assessed.
