There was plenty to celebrate at Darland School this week as our Year 11 students received their GCSE results and looked ahead to the next exciting stage of their lives.
We are incredibly proud of everything this year group has achieved. Behind every set of results is a young person who has worked hard, faced challenges, grown in confidence and kept going — supported throughout by their families and by staff who know them well, care about their success and always encourage them to aim higher.
There were some particularly impressive individual achievements:
⭐ Ai Lin achieved an extraordinary nine A*/A grades
⭐ Ella and two further students each achieved eight A/*A grades
⭐ Lewis, Maisie, Aya, Ruby, Maggie and Chloe each achieved seven A/*A grades or equivalent
These fantastic results are only part of the story. For some students, success today means a string of the very highest grades. For others, it means exceeding their own expectations, overcoming challenges or achieving the qualifications they need to take their next step.
What matters most is that our students leave Darland knowing their hard work has been worthwhile and feeling proud of what they have achieved.
A huge thank you to our staff and families for the encouragement, care and support they have given our students throughout their time at Darland.
We wish every member of Year 11 the very best as they move on to sixth form, college, apprenticeships, training and employment.
💙 Congratulations, Year 11 — we are so proud of you.
