The Griffin: a Darland tradition, a new digital chapter!
We’re delighted to share the first edition of The Griffin on Microsoft Sway, bringing together news, achievements and celebrations from across Darland in a fresh digital format! 📖✨
A Darland tradition since at least 1974
Our school newsletter has a history stretching back more than half a century. An edition of The Darland Griffin dating from July 1974 is preserved in the National Library of Wales—a wonderful connection to the pupils, staff and families who came before us.
Today, we’re proud to continue that tradition, celebrating our pupils’ talents, sharing their experiences and giving families a glimpse into life at Darland.
📚 Do you remember earlier editions of The Griffin? We’d love former pupils, families and staff to share their memories—or photographs of any copies they’ve kept!
