Remembering the Gresford Disaster
Today at 11am, staff and students attended the annual Service of Remembrance for the Gresford Disaster at the Gresford Disaster Memorial, Bluebell Lane, Pandy.
The disaster of 1934 remains an important part of the history and heritage of our local community. The loss of 266 men and boys affected families across the whole of the Wrexham area, and its legacy continues to be felt through generations.
We believe it is important that our young people understand and remember the history of the community they belong to. We are proud that representatives from Darland will join others from across the area to pay their respects and honour those who lost their lives.
We will remember them.
