To celebrate the European Day of Languages, our fantastic Student Language Ambassadors once again organised a European-themed baking competition — and the entries were amazing!

From Portuguese pastéis de nata and Swedish kladdkaka to Ukrainian cheesecake, French fraisier, Basque cheesecake, florentines, Dutch butter cake and much more, our students really impressed us with their creativity and skill.

Visitors to our Open Evening chose Ffion’s fantastic Pasta Cake as the best-looking entry, with Ella’s Curly Wurly Eiffel Tower Cake and Eliot’s Bee Sting Cake close behind. 🎉

The following day, our Language Ambassadors took a selection of cakes to Rossett Hwb, where a community judging panel faced the very difficult job of choosing the best-tasting bake. Eliot’s Bee Sting Cake was crowned the winner, with a special mention for Alice’s delicious Greek Baklava. 🐝🍰

A huge bravo to everyone who took part. We are so proud of the imagination, effort and talent on display! 💚💛
