October is ADHD Awareness Month
At Darland High School, weβre using this month to raise awareness, improve understanding and celebrate the different ways our students think, learn and experience the world.
ADHD can affect attention, organisation, impulsivity and activity levels, but it can also be associated with creativity, curiosity, energy, resilience and the ability to bring fresh perspectives.
Every young person is different, and the right understanding, encouragement and support can make a huge difference. We are proud to promote a school community where neurodiversity is understood, individual strengths are recognised and every student has the opportunity to thrive.
